Double-Row Inch Design Taper Roller Bearings
Tapered roller bearings are generally used to support combined load mainly consisting of radial load.Their cups are separable for easy assembling.During mounting and using,radial clearance and axial clearance can be adjusted and preloaded mounting can be made.
Applications:
In many applications tapered roller bearings are used in back-to-back pairs so that axial forces
can be supported equally in either direction.
Pairs of tapered roller bearings are used in car and vehicle wheel bearings where they must cope simultaneously with large vertical (radial) and horizontal (axial) forces.
Applications for tapered roller bearings are commonly used for moderate speed, heavy duty
applications where durability is required.
Common real world applications are in agriculture, construction and mining equipment, axle systems,
gear box, engine motors and reducers.
Fuctions:
a. Tapered Roller Bearings, according to the row number of rollers, are defined as single row,
double row and four row. The single row tapered roller bearings clearance should be adjusted
when they are mounted. For double row and four row tapered roller bearings, the clearance
can be provided when assembling them according to national standards, customers don't need to
adjust it.
b. The tapered roller bearings mainly carry radial, axial combined load with radial load in the main.
The capacity of axial load carrying depends on the contact angle of outer rings' raceway.
The bigger the contact angle is, the greater the capacity will be.
